"Strengthening The Sustainable Development Of Small Medium Enterprise"
The performance of Small Medium Enterprise (SME) is one of the frontrunner indicators to increase Indonesia’s economic growth. Based on data from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia in 2020, the contribution of SME to GDP in the past five years reached 60.34%. Therefore, economic growth in Indonesia shows unstable values, controlled macroeconomic climate, but grew minimally. The cause of this factor is the contribution of Indonesia’s SME are few in the global market and the lowest in ASEAN. Furthermore, Indonesian SMEs show a little value of competitiveness because they have low-quality products.
International Summer Course on Small Medium Enterprise (ISCOSME) is an event organized by the International Program of Management and Business (IMaBs), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). This program is held to introduce and understand how a small medium enterprise (SME) can develop through interaction from the whole stakeholders. SME provide high contribution to the economic growth in Indonesia. By attending ISCOSME will enable student learn and practice about business. Therefore, ISCOSME will also introduce to the uniqueness of Indonesian business culture.
